Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
These terms govern your use of MakerCash. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
MakerCash is a trading name of SymNex Consulting Ltd (registered in England and Wales under company number 10006091).
What MakerCash is
MakerCash helps makers and craft sellers track their finances – sales, expenses, materials, and invoicing. It’s designed for UK sole traders preparing for self-assessment.
Important: We’re not accountants. MakerCash is a tool to help you organise your finances, not a replacement for professional tax advice.

You’re responsible for all activity under your account.

We don’t store your payment card details.

You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID or Google Play settings. You keep access until your current period ends.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies.
Your data
You own it
Everything you put into MakerCash is yours:
- Transactions, materials, pieces
- Customer and supplier info
- Receipts and invoices
We don’t claim any rights over your data.
Export it
You can export your data anytime – transactions as CSV, annual reports as PDF.
Delete it
You can delete your data or close your account whenever you want. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Using MakerCash fairly
Please don’t:
- Use MakerCash for anything illegal
- Try to access other people’s accounts
- Upload malicious files
- Copy or reverse-engineer the app
We can suspend accounts that break these rules.
Invoicing
When you send invoices through MakerCash:
- You’re responsible for what’s on them
- You should follow UK invoicing requirements
- We’ll try to deliver them, but email isn’t 100% reliable
- The invoice templates are ours, but the content is yours
AI receipt scanning
Our AI tries to read your receipts and extract the details. It’s helpful, but not perfect:
- Always review what the AI extracts before saving
- We can’t guarantee it will read everything correctly
- Don’t rely on it for tax returns without checking
What we’re responsible for
We do our best to keep MakerCash working well, but we can’t promise:
- 100% uptime – sometimes things break
- Perfect accuracy – check the numbers yourself
- Tax advice – consult an accountant for that
If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you’ve paid us in the last 12 months.
Our stuff
MakerCash – the app, design, and features – belongs to us. Please don’t copy it.
Your content belongs to you. We just need permission to display and process it to provide the service.
Changes
We might update these terms or the app. We’ll let you know about significant changes.
Ending things
You can leave anytime – delete your account in the app or email us.
We might end access if you break these terms or don’t pay. We’ll give you notice unless it’s urgent.
When you leave, we keep your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then delete it.
Legal bits
These terms are governed by English law. If we have a dispute, we’ll try to sort it out informally first.
